The "Green Audit" phase of CodeGreen
USA's mission includes a review of how the
local zoning and/or land development code
deals with project Location, Design, Green
factors, and Energy considerations as well as
a review of all applicable administrative
processes.
Using experience from over
30 years in the field, our
detailed code reviews note
whether positive intentions
are expressed for each
factor, if any specific stand-
ards are adopted and whether incentives are
available to applicants. Inconsistencies and
duplications are also evaluated.
Recent reviews have focused on provisions
for renewables. Our "Green Audit" assess-
ment is the framework for any related zoning
or land development code amendments.

Carron Day, AICP, CEP, CNU-A recently consulted in New
Bern NC on an exciting regional planning project with the
Military Growth Task Force - NC Eastern Region and the
Eastern Carolina Council. She returned to New Bern NC in
Feb 2011 to participate in the area's first regional planning
forum. Her presentation "A Regional Planner's Overview"
was well received.

the recent APA-North Carolina annual conference.

Florida Chamber's Growth Management Short Course.
